WKND

OUR STORY

You didn’t quit the game. Life just filled up the calendar.

There was a time when your evenings were non-negotiable. Bat in hand by 5. Shuttle strung and ready. The colony ground, the park behind the apartment, the court your friend’s dad had built in the backyard — it didn’t matter where. What mattered was that you showed up. Every single day.

Then came the entrance exams. The internships. The first job, the second city, the third deadline this week. Nobody told you to stop playing. You just looked up one day and realised the bat was at the back of the cupboard, the racket strings had gone slack, and the last time you played was at a cousin’s wedding three years ago.

That thing that happens when a drive connects perfectly. When a drop shot lands exactly where you meant it to. That feeling didn’t go anywhere. It was just waiting.

THE RETURN

WKND was built because two of us found our way back — to a turf in Bengaluru, a badminton court in Hyderabad, a group chat that actually gets people to show up. And we realised there was no gear made for people like us. Not for the professional. Not for the beginner. For the one who never really stopped — just paused.

THE GEAR

This is gear for your comeback. However small. However late. However Saturday-morning it is. We don’t make gear for everyone. We make it for the one who books the court a week early so it doesn’t get cancelled.
